Splendid. Thank you, Alex. Robert Harris has written some terrific novels, though I confess I've not read the source material in this case. My favourites of his are Fatherland and The Ghost. The film of the former is dreadful (avoid at all costs) and the film of the latter is rather good.
I enjoyed Ghost, book and film, and enjoyed the skewering of Blair but haven't seen Fatherland. In fact, I didn't even know it had been made into a film. I'll avoid it.
Great review, Simon. I read the book based on the fact it was written by Robert Harris not the topic. That proved to be an excellent decision.
