Danielle Deadwyler is menaced by a spooky shrouded woman in Jaume Collet-Serra’s intermittently effective horror
After a clutch of largely uninspiring big-budget action films, director Jaume Collet-Serra returns to small-scale horror with The Woman in the Yard. It’s a spooky tale with a clutch of genuine frights that should please fans of supernatural horror, despite a lumpy initial movement and final act that doesn’t quite satisfy.
